"Conor! Put the gun away!" Ceara hissed at him.

Conor:
"Back off Sear!" I bark, "You say you say you ran away, but an ex agent wouldn't even come here, Air Haven is controlled by Lazarus Brigade"

"You are slightly incorrect, master Conor," says Crow. He places a huge metal hand on Conor's arm and lowers the gun. "The Lazarus Brigade are not rulers here. We haven't ruled anywhere for over nine hundred years. Airhaven is neutral territory."
Crow's face remains impassive.
"And to answer your question, I do not remember how I died. None of us do. I only remember a few fragments of my former life."

((I realise I've been misinforming you. Africa is not actually owned by the Green Storm, it's more of an old-fashioned Anti-Tractionist territory. Sorry. However, I'm not sure whether that actually affects any of our characters.))

Conor:
I look up at Crow, then around the bar and see multiple people drawing guns and knives. I put my gun away and pull out my own knife. I slame the blade down and it lands between her fingers. "I don't want any of your Green Storm nonsense, don't screw with the Lazarus Brigade, I may not be in it but they have my full support. And if you mess with me or any of my friends, I will kill you"

"Please," says Crow gently. "Conor, I understand that you saw your parents killed by the Green Storm, but have a care. We do not know everything about this girl. I will not tolerate senseless killing. I saw what happened to Shrike."
Crow grasps Conor's knife by the blade and pulls it from the bar before clenching his fist. He drops the knife, now twisted out of shape by the stalker's vicious grip. Crow stares impassively down at Conor, no longer smiling.

"I was killed once. This is neutral territory. Now if we were in Murnau or Manchester, it would be different."
Crow gestures out of the window at the Traktionstadtgesellschaft rumbling across the plains far below.

((The traktionstadtgesellschaft is an alliance of traktion cities fighting the Green Storm. Murnau is an armoured fighting city, clad entirely in armour plating, where nearly every house has rocket projectors mounted on the roof. It has seven tiers, similar to London. Manchester is much larger, with twelve tiers, but less armour plating. There are other cities down there, along with hundreds of predator, scavenger, pirate and satellite suburbs.))

((Ah, crap. Sorry.))

"So what brought you so far south?" asks Crow. "The ruins of London?"

((London was destroyed many years ago. I would assume that Conor left as a young boy, say 12/13 on an airship fleeing it in the few days before MEDUSA malfunctioned at Shan Guo.))

Alison: I took a deep breath and let it out. I went over to the boy and metal man. "Look Im sorry we killed your parents...They killed mine to." I said in a whisper.

Conor:
I dropped my hardened exterior we now had something in common. Since she was in the same boat as me I couldn't be mad anymore. "D***," I whisper tears dripping down my cheeks as I silently remember my parents, my little brother, and my older sister. All snatched from me without any chance to say goodbye. I quickly wipe away the tears hoping no one had seen. "I'm sorry I acted that way to you," I say looking down at the bar, "please forgive me"

((England no longer exists! And remember that the cities move... And eat each other.))

"So many Londoners!" says Crow. "I remember the days before Quercus started London moving. That would be Nicholas Quirke to you two. I actually served under him for many years before the Lazarus Brigade was sent to Hill 60."

((Quirke died nearly a thousand years ago, and was the man who turned London into the world's first traction city. Later he was added to the pantheon of London's gods.))
