::Flay::
I gritted my teeth. I knew exactly where the lake was, I'd memorized this arena when watching my sister Glimmer play. Lake meant water, and if everyone was there, I'd get to slash a throat and steal some things from them, hopefully.
I began to stand up and start to run, looking for landmarks. It was just forest, everywhere . . .
Running faster, panic struck me. I needed to find that lake. Needed to. I would not die this soon because of game-makers! Pathetic.
My knife was hitting my thigh, and I stopped to wrap it around my waist again. Wasting precious seconds. I threw my pack over my shoulder again, clutching it with both hands and the other securing my knife. I probably looked weird, but that was alright.
I wasn't being very like-able for sponsors, was I? That wasn't good behavior. I knew a camera was on me . . .
"I'm doing this for you, Glimmer. I miss you," I pant out loudly as I run.
That will touch a few hearts. I'm guessing many are way too confused to impress the cameras, which is a good thing to do early on in the games when things are cheap.

Conor:
I came out of the water on the other side of the lake the side closest to the flashing girl. Now that I had a good blade I might be able to take her, might. I looked across the lake at the boy who had tried to kill me he was staring at the water confused. Obviously he didnt expect me to swim.

Riku:
I needed some first aid, badly. I looked at the sky hoping, praying. Nothing. I sadly tore off a piece of my shirt and used it as a bandage and a turniket. I then sat waiting for more tributes.

Re: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the new Hunger Games.

Post by ßøn∑z on Thu Apr 14, 2011 6:53 pm

::Flay::
As I continued, I saw a little girl tripping ahead of me. Looking about 14, she pounded her hands on the ground.
"It's a dead end! I ran for five minutes and I'm thirsty and tired and it's a dead end!" she wailed, looking at me teary eyed.
I kept my face blank and emotionless as I stared forward. What faced us was the edge of a cliff, and around us, the trees were growing taller and thickening. Trapping us inside a circle.
Fear rose with bile in my throat. I wanted to barf. I would be trapped here and had to wait.
"No . . . No . . " I repeated.
In the games, there was always a way out of tricks for game-makers, you just had to be clever. Not now. Not here.
Wait . . . there was a lake below us. Had everyone jumped or had the land just descended gradually for them? I saw the boy before facing the forest, waiting for someone.
"It's not a dead end," I muttered.
The girl turned with a red face.
"Idiot, are you going to jump?!?" she cried.
If I landed in the water, it would hurt like hell, but I'd be there and alive . . . But maybe have a few broken bones. And you couldn't cut someone up with a sword in water in that lake so deep, right?
"No, I'm going to kill you, and then I'm going to jump."
Before the girl could scurry over the edge, I grabbed her hair, flipped her and took my knife out, jumping over on her stomach. She squirmed and tried to push me off, but I pinned all of her under me and still had a free arm holding the knife. Katniss had been secured and almost killed in this position, the death lock, we'd learned it in training. Now we also learned only to do it alone with the person.
I grinned. Did I hate her? No. So I wanted to save my best moves for when I was taking down someone I did hate.
"Got any food?"
She pressed her lips together, and I noticed the pack on her back. Then I remembered the time! I had to speed this up.
I dragged the knife along her forehead, then dug it in deep. Her eyes filled with pain, and rolled back. Her body stilled as I cut up her face so it was almost impossible to recognize her. Her chest was moving, somehow. I stuck the dagger in her quickly in the chest, pulled it out and grabbed her pack. Without hesitation, I jumped over the edge, hoping to be in the water when I landed.

Conor:
I looked at my wound on my leg. It was deep but not that bad it had just hit muscle and fat nothing major. I bandaged it with one of my shirt sleeves. I looked down at my orange suit, it made me stand out too much. I covered it with mud for camoflauge.

(Luke is from 1 too!)
(Bones, will reply to you after Kaler, since it's on another page.)
(I missed a lot! Gr.)

Luke: I shook my head. "No, I don't have an ally yet. Unless you'd be willing to be mine, I mean." Be mine in more than one way, maybe? Nah. Not the time to flirt. Maybe later, when she'd warmed up to me just a little more. I didn't want to push the boundaries yet. Playing with the food before eating it was the best part.

(nikkie needs someone to talk to.)

Alex: I took my arm back, deciding to obey orders for now. "I...sorry," I stammered. "I don't know why I'm here. I really don't think I'm going to make it out of here alive. I just wanted to know if you were okay. You look kind of upset. I don't blame you. I don't want to be here either."

(Oh, I didn't see it. Sorry!)

Nikkie: I heard the announcement and jumped up immediately. Where was the lake? I had no idea! It wasn't like I'd watched the earlier Hunger Games! I started running. Maybe I should climb a tree? Or was that too obvious? No, don't think about it. Just look for the lake!

::Desomda::
I didn't want to speak again, I thought I would die because of no water so mine as well save my voice. If I were to be killed at age 12, I wanted to use it so everyone would hear me scream. Maybe then they'd feel guilty.
No, no they wouldn't. Think of all the rebel babies and children dying. They would not care.
But I'd never screamed in my life. Did I know how? When faced with death, I'd find out.
I was about to say something to him, maybe ask to join together, when an announcement was said.
Lake. In. Ten. Minutes.
I panicked. Raw, gripping, terrifying. I had to go.
But I could barely hear it over the sound of loud cracks. I looked down and . . .
The ground under us was falling and splitting apart. We were dead meat.

::Flay::
The water hit with an intense pain. My entire body ached with a sunburn as I sunk.
My head bobbed up and I gasped for air. Something was fizzling on me. Burning.
I looked down. Under the water, my black plastic suit, once glowing and once invisable, was now dissolving and burning me with electric sparks. Without thinking, I ripped it off my body and kicked it under, remembering just in time to take my rope, knife, and the girl's pack off it. I held it all in one arm, using the other to float, and stared up . . .
At a big, huge, gleaming sword. And the boy from earlier. My teeth chattered, and thankfully the water was so dark no one could see me naked.

Alex: Without thinking, I grabbed the girl's hand. I wouldn't normally, but circumstances weren't exactly normal right now. I wasn't going to just leave this girl here to fend for herself. Besides, I didn't have the best sense of direction, so maybe she would be able to help me--us--find the lake. I was still getting used to the idea of having another person to take care of.

Conor:
"You, you're the girl from earlier," I said looking down at her, knowing she was naked. "It seems I have the upper hand now my friend and now may I ask, waht do you have that you can offer for me to spare you're life?" I snarl. My blade glints in the sunlight, "I'm waiting, I am very impatient right now, after being injured and used by that guy over there" I point to Riku, "I am not in a good mood!"
