Isadora: "I know that we're in a noble's basement," I say, remembering life before the asylum. "But I hardly have a clue what's going on. I only picked that up from the servants."

Princess doesn't turn around. "Remeber rule one," she says. "I'll have a job for you in a moment."

Robin
"I can't... remember... anything" I murmur, closing my eyes. I began to feel the strain on my shoulder from the wire keeping my arm elevated. "Do you know who I am?" I ask, opening my eyes again and trying to study her face though the dark

Ella frowned. "You aren't going to hurt her...are you?"

Isadora: My eyes widen and I turn around. Oh gosh, this is bad. "You forgot everything?!" I say, feeling the color drain from my face. "Every single thing?"

Princess puts a hand on her hip. "That wasn't what I asked you, now get out or your employment to me will end sooner than you thought."

Robin
"My head..." I close my eyes then slowly open them again "Some things are coming back, but really slowly. I think my name's... some bird. But that's all I've got" Jay?

Isadora: I grimace. "Don't let them know!" I whisper. "I don't know exactly what they'd do if they found out, but it can't be good! You must try to remeber everything you can!"

Robin
"Okay" I nod again, a little stronger this time "if I can just remember my name, I think I can fake it... some bird... Robin?" That sounded right, and something clicked. Robin. Okay, that's all I have.

Ella looked down for a moment. Part of her wanted to stay, to see what happened, maybe prevent it, but another part of her was screaming to get out of there. She started to back to the door, and her eyes flitted form Mrs. Kingsley to Princess one last time before slipping out into the front room. Then, as she looked ahead she felt a slight smile tug at the corners of her mouth. There was nothing but the front door between her and the streets outside.

Lol, wish I had one of those.

When the girl leaves, Princess gently removes her hat and places it on a rack of fabric nearby, making sure every flower is in place. She picks up her cane and everything but the part instantly slides off. In it's place is a long this knife. "Martha Kingsley," she murmurs. "Your debt has not been paid off." She places a thumb in it's edge and watches the blood slide down it's side. The woman cowers on the floor until Princess grabs her by the hair and slams her into the wall. She looks the woman straight in the eye, and yet her eyes are glazed over. The debt will now be passed to the woman's child, the one she loves most in this world. Princess picks up the blade, her other hand drawing blood as her nails dig into her shoulder.

Ella almost left. But then that uneasy feeling was back that told her to stay. She heard something slam into the wall, and she couldn't stand there and listen anymore; she burst back through the door and the scene flashed before her eyes. She yanked on Princess's arm, trying to free the woman. "Don't! Please don't!"

Princess shoves the girl off easily, barely even turning. She doesn't have time for her naivety. If she doesn't know how the world works, she will soon. She plunges the knife deep in the woman's chest, straight in her heart. The woman shakes and shudders a bit as her eyes grow white and her veins grow darker and darker. "Disturbing," Princess whispers, although it isn't about her crime. She keeps the knife in the woman's heart, her head turned to watch the girl's reaction.

Finally, Princess removes her blade. She picks up the discarded shaft and puts her cane back together. "What are you waiting for?" she asks cooly. "Wrap her up. There is a carriage waiting outside and I want her carried inside."

Princess takes her hat from the rack and checks the flowers. "I will leave you to do your job now. There will be an hourglass on the counter- do not touch it. Then I will have to cut your hands off, and what good will you be to me then?"
